Im reading from the message again:
So many people live like hell but then say that they are christ followers. They assume that what they "believe" has nothing to do with how they act. This portion of scripture destroys that idea.
We show our faith by what we do. Our actions prove our faith.
"The very moment you separate body and spirit, you end up with a corpse. Separate faith and works and you get the same thing: a corpse."
Does your faith feel like it is dying? Is it already dead? Check your actions. Your actions help keep your faith alive. If you have been believing one thing but living another, you are about to wind up with a corpse on your hands.
Are you praying, reading, meditating, talking to your friends about Christ? Are you giving? All of these actions build and prove our faith.

i think my faith is strong, but i dont commit myself as much as i should. i dont read the bible every night or pray as much as i should. i think this scipture shows how peoples actions shows how strong their faith is.
Dude, I don't get it. What is meditating and how does it build my faith?
i have not been doing the best with my reading and talking to my friends about christ. i am trying to make a habit to do these things but it is hard sometimes and i have a horrible memory. but i know that i just need to do it.

I think that this is a good scripture to show the people that think they are strong christions are not as close to god as they think. And i want to start reading my bible more and praying more than i do, to get closer to god and have a better relationship with god

ohh never mind... it says after bloggers approval..ah nvm.. my bad for posting like 8 things
I think that many, including myself, show bad actions everyday which inturn shows bad faith. I myself am trying to pray, read, and I even started talking with my friends about Christ during small group. Now not only am I building my faith, but it is making me a better person and friend.
I think that many people, including myself, don't show proper actions to display our faith. I am working on that by praying, reading, and I am talking with my friends about Christ in small group. Not only am I building my faith by doing these things, but I am becoming a better friend and person.

i agree with this message, and i think i need to show my faith more with my actions
this tells us in the first half to love our neighbors no matter appearance and stay away from judgement and the only judgement that means anything is the one we get from God.
Derek-
Meditating is reading, repeating, and memorizing parts of God's word. It builds your faith because "faith comes from hearing God's word." The more of the Bible you have memorized, the more confidence you will have in God. You know when I get excited on Wed. nights and start yelling scripture like "no weapon formed against me shall prosper" That comes from meditating and will build your faith!
I'm also working 0n my faith, like the other people that commented. I just started small groups, which was a big step for me. I'm realy likin it and encourage others that aren't in small groups to start up as soon as possible!!!
i'm working on my faith also, just like everyone else who commented on the message. I just strarted small groups which was a big jump for me. And i'm realy likin it, and I encourage everyone who's not in a small group to get in one as soon as possible because it's fun and you get more one on one feedback.
