Luke 5

This is such a good chapter.  It shows Jesus in several different situations and everyone He stays right on point.  Jesus always knew what He was called to do and exactly how He was going to accomplish it, he was not unsure about His calling.

This is the first chapter where Jesus is performing miracles in Luke and He already is punking out the religious leaders by forgiving sins and hanging out with sinners.

Jesus asked a notorious sinner, Levi to be one of His disciples.  So levi throws a party, in Jesus honor, and all of his sinner friends show up.  Look what the religious leaders said, "Why do you eat and drink with such scum?"

Jesus answered them, "Healthy people don't need a doctor-sick people do.  I have come to call sinners to turn from their sins, not to spend my time with those who think they are already good enough."

Do you have time for "sick" people?  Are you willing to share your faith or invite someone to church that most people wouldn't?  The people who think they are already good enough are the toughest ones to really find Christ.

KYC is going to blow up when we start getting "sick" people into the church to hear the message of Christ.  What can you do today, to help a sick person find the doctor, Jesus?

I can ask a "sick" person to go to church, but thats true that the people who think they are already good enough are the toughest people to get, and I think if we could get some of those people goin it would make a huge difference in our schools.

dude, in a way, that is freaking deep... Wow! Sick people are more greatfull than those who are healthy. WE NEED TO START RAKING 'EM IN! I think KYC's passion level will go through the roof!

When we ask these people who no one expects to come to church, they usually love it and then its awesome.

Tonight was really discouraging for me...I asked someone who NEEDS GOD to come next wednesday and previously he had seemed to respect me in my faith. He gave 1000 excuses, and I tried to explain that our church is different. Then he was like "oh do you do the whole I got saved thing, because that's so fake." and he was just rediculous. We have to keep praying for the people in our lives that need God! And encourage each other to do it too.

We can let a person who isn't living a christian life know that God still loves them and that they are not under any condemnation. Jesus' blood covers us the same where we are today asit did the first time we asked for forgivness.

i dont get what jimmy said.... but this is good stuff! What I think about is. You come to Jesus and get set free and healed. But you dont stay in good health forever! you have to keep getting more and more of him. ooooooor its like food. You gotta eat. Otherwise your body will be hungry. Thats the same way with my Jesus. My Jesus. Would have a tuxedo T shirt on with a tray of food. So its like he's there to party. and serve.

i have trouble inviting anyone not just "sick" people. I really need to start trying to reach out to other people and spread some Jesus Christ into there lives!
